Reformer Pilates Classes

Rather than the “Sweat! Puff! Smash Yourself As Hard As You Can!” type of workout, a Reformer Pilates class at bodyBEgood gives you a challenging, full body workout, in a controlled, targeted way.

Our classes

  • Teach you better body awareness, & improved activation of your smaller, super-important stabilising muscles,

    and

  • Leave you feeling longer, stronger, and more fabulous in your own skin!

If you’re looking for a studio full of size 8’s in crop tops… we are probably not the studio for you, sorry!

If you’re looking for a warm, non-judgey space, where the instructors really care about helping you build a body you love, then come on over - sounds like we are your people!

Our classes focus on

  • Improving flexibility, and

  • Building strength and control of

    • Core muscles,

    • Hip, Thighs & Butt,

    • Upper body, and

    • Posture muscles.

class types…

Reformer

  • Our signature 45 minute, full body workout - challenging your core, hips, butt, arms and legs!

Reformer Foundations

  • The perfect class both for those who are new to Reformer Pilates, and for those regulars who are wanting to go back and review the foundations.

  • Still a great 45 minute workout, still using the Pilates Reformer and other small equipment, and still with the goal of giving you a workout for the whole body. But... these 'Foundation' classes focus on the key principles of Pilates - breathing, control, technique. We take a little more time with each exercise, to ensure you understand what you are trying to achieve, and that you get the absolute most out of every exercise.

  • Reformer Foundations gives you an energising class, designed to strengthen and lengthen your body.

Reformer - A Little Bit Harder

  • Our new ‘intermediate’ level class, A Little Bit Harder is just that! If you’ve been loving regular Reformer, but are ready to step it up a bit, get yourself into A Little Bit Harder - you’re going to love it!

  • Not suitable for total-first-timers!

Gold Reformer

  • Only for those aged 50 or over, our Gold classes are similar to our regular Reformer classes, but have a stronger focus on balance, posture, and weight-bearing exercise, to compliment the needs of a more ‘mature’ body!

Pre & Postnatal Reformer

Pop-up Classes

  • Keep an eye on our social channels for our Pop-up classes. Usually held on a weekend, we offer pop-up Stretch/Flexibility classes, Jumpboard classes, and more!

FAQs…

Do you need an assessment before you can start in Reformer Classes?

No, it’s not compulsory to come in for an assessment before your start in a Reformer class with us (it is for Clinical and Pre & Postnatal). However, if you do have a current or recent injury or health concern, we highly recommend booking an assessment with our Physios first. The Physio can assess you, and give you some great guidance about which classes would suit you best, as well as provide you with some pre-exercises to get you started before joining our classes.

Can I claim a rebate on my health insurance for Reformer classes?

No. Our Reformer classes are a group fitness class, taught by a Pilates Instructor, and are generally not eligible for a rebate. Our Physio-taught Clinical classes, and Pre & Postnatal classes, are usually claimable under your Extras cover

What do I need to bring/wear?

Clothes that you feel comfortable in, and socks, please!
